The Polish Baltic Shipping was established in January 1976 as a state owned shipping company. Under the operating name Polferries, the company runs ferry routes for freight and passenger vehicles between Poland and Scandinavia.
Polferries is the largest Polish ferry operator, and the only Polish transport service providing ferry services on routes between Poland and Scandinavia. Polferries operates three ferries providing passenger and freight vehicle services on the following four routes:
1. m/f Pomerania on the route Swinoujscie/Copenhagen, Denmark 2. m/f Wawel on the route Swinoujscie/Ystad, Sweden 3. m/f Pomerania on the route Swinoujscie/Ronne, Denmark 4. m/f Scandinavia on the route Gdansk/Nynashamn, Sweden.
